National Conference on Women at the Forefront: India’s Journey Towards Equality

We successfully organized the first edition of National Conference on Women at the Forefront: India’s Journey Towards Equality, on 15th – 16th June 2024 at Indore, Madhya Pradesh in collaboration with National Commission for Women, which was graced with the presence of Hon'ble Smt. Sumitra Mahajan, Former Speaker, Lok Sabha, as Chief Guest, and Hon'ble Justice S.C. Dharmadhikari, Judge, High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Indore Bench. The event featured distinguished panelists with esteemed voices such as Justice (Retd.) HMJ Indira Banerjee, Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, HMJ (Retd.) Rekha Palli & HMJ Neena Bansal Krishna, Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, Ms. Mamata Kumari, Member, NCW, Dr. Pam Rajput (Advisor, Ministry of Women & Child Development), Ms. Anuradha Shankar, IPS, and Ms. Aditi Ananthanarayanan, Political Journalist, among others.

The conference served as a platform for engaging in thoughtful discussions on the current state of women-centric policies, laws, and reforms pertaining to their roles in various walks of life. It included paper presentations by researchers, scholars, professors, professionals, government officials, think tanks, and students on topics such as legal protection for marginalized women, women's participation in the legal profession and judiciary, gender equality in corporate governance, labor laws, women in sports, and more.
